No sound on some files

Hi,

I have just recieved my vero 4k and i have the following problem.
On some files (video or music) i have no sound.

I also have no sound on the interface

My config :
Vero 4k
output via HDMI to y AMP
canal 5.0 optimized
Passthrough => On

I suspect your audio settings may not be configured correctly.

Can you paste the logs properly? See How to submit a useful support request - General - OSMC.

Can you take a photograph of the audio settings. Make sure you have select SPDIF / HDMI, rather than PCM output. It may also be beneficial to select ‘FIxed’ instead of ‘Optimised’.

Yes hdmi is selected. I tried almost every configuration without any result

For the moment i am in the same audio configuration of my Pi2 (sound work)

I also have no sound when i travel in the menu.

Is it possible you have activated “sync audio to screen“ in Video settings (affichage). Then your Passthrough settings would be disabled automatically.

If not, it is sure your audio system supports DTS etc. and other possibility could be an defective HDMI Cable, change it for testing.

I tried 3 hdmi cable since I received the vero 4k. Today I am in the same configuration of my PI2 wich is working well with my AMP (yamaha rx840)

For the sync audio, I don’the these option in the video tab

Must be deactivated.

For testing purposes: Does it make an difference if you lower the “Nombre de Canaux“ to 4.1 or lower.

Or is it always the same Error no matter how many audio channels you set?

When Passthrough is enabled the change of channels normally should change nothing, but if it should suddenly works with lower channels, it could be the Passthrough Mode is somehow blocked or not functional.

Hi,

I almost try anything, enable or disable passtrought, changing the configuration 5.0 to 2.0, always the same problem. Something I don’t understand, some music and videos play with any problems.
For information I don’t have these problem’s with my PI2 and OSMC.

Could be important to know what makes the files special which don’t work.

Do you have an Media-Info for those (unfunctionable) files.

Do you have simple restarted the Vero?

Not that there are some hidden playbacks in background. (If such a thing should be possible)

The common point with all KO files (Audio or Video) is “Sampling rate : 44.1 kHz” whatever the format MP3, Flac,…
