If you have it on all pop out menus your issue is different and can be either fixed with a setting on the TV or if that is not working with overscan fix.
For your TV check for 1:1 or just scan. On the Sony it might be Settings / Screen settings / Display Area / All pixels
Thanks, but it’s already set to 1:1. Setting it to -1 or -2 moves the standard, on screen fixed menus towards or off the left of the screen, ie overscans the picture (even more??).

Thanks - The TV is a secondary viewing device, so as it’s OK on the projector I’ll just put up with it!.
I did experience it with the Kodi default skin as well. It was as you suggested an issue with an overscan related setting in my TV’s menu. Sorry I didn’t catch this one myself, was sure I went through the TV’s settings thoroughly but obviously not enough.
