You need to follow the instructions properly. You now need to clone the repository.
how can i clone the repository?
im sorry but i am an absolutely beginner
Just follow all of hissingshark’s steps, your are missing steps (2, 3 and 4)
omg thank you very much for your help. now i can open the web configuration.
what is the next step to start the ambilight on kodi for my movie files?
The web GUI has a “Remote Control” tab.
Set the grabber as the active source and it will run, regardless of whether you’re in the Kodi menus or playing a file.
@hissingshark i set the grabber as the active source but no led lights.
do i have to change any other settings like baudrate or anything else?
btw i bought this ambilight kit from aliexpress
Absolutely. I assumed you’d been using Hyperion on a prior installation.
In the hardware configure you’ll need to tell it the number and position of the LEDs and the driver details which yes, includes the baud rate.
i typed in the correct number and position of the led´s already.
how did i get the info for the correct driver details and baudrate?
is there any config file that i can import?
i really thank you very much for all to help a very noob like me
To judge by the screenshots on the product website and some Amazon reviews you could try selecting Adalight as the “Controller type” and 115200 as the baud rate.
If that doesn’t work try some searches for Hyperion and your product (Light Box Dream Color).
i changed to adalight and baudrate to 115200 but still not working.
The product page refers to installation compatible with “Raspberry Pi: Openelec/libreelec+Hyperion”, so you mileage may vary here.
Importantly it also links to this video. It is old, showing a setup with Hyperion “classic”, rather than NG as we use these days, but I don’t think that should matter.
There they have used Adalight and 115200 - but with/dev/ttyUSB0
as the output device, which is different to our Adalight default of /dev/ttyACM0
, so try that.
thank you. i will try it.
yes… i changed to /dev/ttyUSB0 and now the leds are lightning. but the colors are not correct. blue is white and purble is green an so on… if i start the movie the ambilight not change the colors
now the colors are correkt if i watch a picture.
but if i start a video, my nero reboot with a bad smiley
