fixed it by checking and repairing disk on my mac. Linux wasn’t able to recover the partitions, had an ‘key out of order’ error or something.

I am SO anticipating the Linux generic version of OSMC, for my Intel NUC Celeron.

Is there any way to access the folders on Raspberry Pi OSMC from the PC?

I would like to transfer a few pics to the Raspberry Pi to change the background. On Openelec I could access the pi from the file explorerer by typing in File:// ip number, but this doesnt work on OSMC:…

Install the samba server from the MyOSMC AppStore and it will work just the same.
