OSMC broken after TV being off

Well I am not sure about progress on your original problem but I wonder about your update as the October Update was provided on the 25th October, can you post a cat /etc/os-release and a uname-a

We have some CEC improvements on the way this month which may help

Sam

Updated to the latest version and now the freezing is gone, awsum!
But it still takes really long time for me to get the signal.
After this update when I reboot Vero, my TV turns on automatically even though the AV receiver is not on.

Test setup:
rebooted Vero from console (TV turns on automatically)
logged in via ssh
turn on AV receiver
wait 20 minutes
unplugged and plugged back the hdmi-cable from vero.

I waited over 20minutes, but no signal. I have to try to wait longer next time, now I have to go to work

I will investigate. Using a custom EDID, which was also improved in this update may resolve things for you.

Sam

Ok, thanks!

I previously did this related to EDID:

I don’t know what that is so just letting you know

I forgot to mention that my Samsung TV remote doesn’t work with OSMC anymore. Also when AV receiver has been on for a long time and I turn on TV, select Kodi from CEC device list, my Samsun bluray player turns on… So something really fishy with the CEC.

This would disable EDID, so maybe the source of the problems
