Hi, just reporting an anomaly after changing the device Network name the identity icon in the sidebar appearing on a Mac now displays a ? question mark instead of a ‘device’ icon. I haven’t seen that before. Thanks
What version of macOS?
Have you rebooted both devices?

yes that was the problem and the solution.
in [global] section in /etc/samba/smb.conf
I added
fruit:model = AppleTV
All fixed, Thanks
