In the logs you got IP 192.168.0.24/24 on eth0 (wired), no Wifi active.
On “System Info” it shows 192.168.0.24 without the “/24” at the end.
This is the subnet mask to use … all is fine. You should be able to work with the Vero using 192.168.0.24.
Enabled wireless, new IP 192.168.0.28 shows up in routers client list as osmc client. Tried both Powershell and PuTTY and get the same “access denied” error.

Ok, so when you use Putty did you set a username or did you leave that empty?
Also I assume you tried to connect to 192.168.0.28, or?
Also what confuses me, why did you suddenly switched to wireless? What is your final plan wired or wireless?
Switched to wireless just to see if it would show in my routers client list. But I definitely rather have it wired.
Entering IP first:
After hitting “open” I get this:
After hitting “OK” PuTTY window says (inactive).
Ok, just switch back to wired and keep it like that. You always can check the IP via MyOSMC if not sure. While in the long run I suggest to assign the Vero a fixed IP in your Router (which router you have then we can tell you how to do).
Ok, that a bit odd. Which version of Putty do you have?
Can you check in MyOSMC → AppStore that SSH Server is installed?
I need to install putty shortly to give it a try, will come back to you.
SSH Server is installed. Downloaded and installed the PuTTY version for Windows 64bit. Version 0.72
Switching back to wired now.
That’s really odd. I just installed Putty on a clean Windows and connected to the Vero for first time and I get the Security Warning about the SSH Key (which is normal when you connect to Vero for first time). Did you ever got that?
After I accept the key I then got login as:
which is expected behavior
Never got that.
I’m using a Network hub. Would that cause the problem?
From a Windows command line, can you ping the Vero?
ping <IP_OF_VERO>
If you had a network hub that would cause performance issues but I think it is more likely you have a switch.
I think you need to go to the OSMC app on the Vero and check in services that it says “SSH Server (running)” and install/activate if not. If it is running then try rebooting your Vero.
In the command prompt you would type ping 192.168.0.24
Although I would think that putty would tell you if it couldn’t reach the ip
Also I said go to SERVICES
You didn’t type ping
type ping 192.168.0.24
assuming you are back on Wired and MyOSMC shows that IP.
Are you on a laptop connected to a guest wifi?
Please show output of ipconfig /all
from your windows machine
