Reactivating Vero 4K+ after long absence - update problem

I am bringing my Vero 4k+ back into use and having found it on my lan and been able to access it I ran into an unexpected problem with my updates. I get the following

sudo apt-get update --fix-missing
Get:1 http://security.debian.org buster/updates InRelease [65.4 kB]
Get:2 Index of /debian buster InRelease [122 kB]
Get:4 Index of /debian buster-updates InRelease [51.9 kB]
Hit:3 Index of /osmc/osmc/apt buster InRelease

The man page isn’t much help to me. What commands do I need to sort out the mess please. It seems too much water has passed beneath the bridge!

Check out Kodi v19 troubleshooting FAQ and apply the hotfix detailed in the first question.

I would if I could but I am only on cli using ssh. No My OSMC that I can see! I need cli guidance to apply the hofix please.

Do this:

sudo wget "https://paste.osmc.tv/raw/afifovuwed" -O /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/00-osmc-allow-suite-changes

Then try the upgrade again.

Hi and many thanks. That seems to have moved things along. Several updates and reboots with many dire messages along the way but now showing green progress bar moving along nicely.
A thousand thanks for the great work you all do. It really is appreciated.
No doubt will be back for more help but great to have the system up again.
Regards,
Budge
