I have some problem with my Gamepads (logitech Rumblepad 2 cordless - they are infrared), dmesg:

Toast tell me this:
“thats missing in the kernel its gonna be included in the kernel in the future so right now its impossible to get your logitech controller working”
Maybe you can add support in the future,
Thanks a lot.
-I waited for december update before I post this, but unfortunatly is not solve with last update.
I’m attempting to extend my osmc to a game console. I installed retropie.
But somehow my Logitech rumblepad2 game controler (USB ID 046d:c218) does not work.
It is recognised, but none of the buttons function.
I tracked it down by connecting it to my laptop as well and comparing notes.
On my laptop it works correctly through the usbhid module.
On the Rpi however, this module does not exist.
Im on the latest osmc with kernel package rbp2-image-4.3.3-3-osmc
Is the usbhid module disabled., or is something wrong with my install?
Indeed, exactly the same topic! I completely missed this one.
Except you have a fancy wireless one, I have an oldfashion one with USB cable
Good to see it is a known issue.
As far as I can see it, the usbhid module is missing for some reason.
But I found posts that showed usbhid is working on the Rpi. So I’m not sure why it was left out. @sam, can you shed some light here?
What do you mean with “its missing some kernel support”? Can’t it be compiled on the arm? Because it has full kernel support on X86.
What is the work you are trying to do exactly? Is there something I can help with?
Same problem here with logitech rumblepad 2 (cordless)
Retropie does not react to it. Could anybody get it to work?
If a dev like to use my computer and my rumblepad from remote (teamviewer) just contact me.
Geez i wonder why that is cause kernel support is missing so please… they know that its not working and its not gonna work until kernel support is added so please kill the noize
