Sad face after August 2021 update

Vero 4K plus.

I have a sad face after updating to the August 2021 version. I don’t have any custom skins or packages installed. The output from journalctl -u mediacenter seems to be pretty straightforward although I don’t know how to troubleshoot these errors

You could try upgrade via cli sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get dist-upgrade sudo reboot

Thanks very much that seemed to have resolved the issue. Does the updating when prompted from the Kodi UI not perform a dist-upgrade?

It does, the issue was that one package was changed after the first devices already picked up the update from the servers therefore your upgrade got stucked half way and the manualy update/dist-upgrade downloaded the correct package and installed it.

Unfortunately there were some devices which wouldn’t have grabbed the complete update due to a slight synchronisation issue. This is now resolved and shouldn’t be an issue going forward.
