Samba crashes while trying to play video files in VLC on Windows 10

Hey,

I have installed OSMC on a raspberry PI 3. I have then installed Samba from the store. I haven’t changed the configuration of samba (except add a logging). I have a USB HDD installed and renning well.
I would like to play the files of my HDD on a windows 10 device connected through local wifi. I can navigated through windows explorer, I even can copy/modify files, but when I try to play a file, VLC shows me an error: “bad file descriptor” and do not open the file. I have also tried with others players and I doesn’t work.
I have made a log file of the samba server:

Thanks in advance for your help (and sorry for my english…)!

look for this line in your /etc/samba/smb.conf

usershare template share = automount template

Change it to:

# usershare template share = automount template

then

sudo systemctl restart samba

Thanks a lot, It works!

Instead of commenting out (and thus disabling) the entire automount template, can someone who experiences this problem please try un-commenting that line and then one by one try commenting out each of the 5 lines in the [automount template] section so we can at least know which one of these lines is triggering samba to crash ?

Also, what filesystem is the drive that is being shared formatted with ?

Edit: nevermind, able to reproduce it here now.
