Okay,
I’m not guaranteeing this will solve the problem however.
Hi Sam,
It seems to be working now. All is well.
Thanks very much for your efforts.
M.
Great, glad to hear this however I did not release an update this weekend and have deferred it until next weekend to spend some time on a couple of other issues
Sam
" Use the Kodi mirror system for serving Kodi add-on updates again"
Was that fix a result of this issue?
It seems to be. I have no issue on the Vero V regarding SBS after the October update.
No. In the case of some add-ons not updating, like Arctic Horizon 2, the solution was:
Enable “Update official add-ons from: Any repositories” in Kodi Settings > System > Add-ons
Ive got a new Vero V and noticed that in the kodi add on repository there is indeed no scripts category. How can I get the full Kodi add on repository to show?
I was seeing many failure messages in the log related to simplecache. I believe its usually installed via scripts.module.simplecache, but its not in the reporsitory in my Kodi version. Is this a mistake and should I do a clean install from SD card?
Is your device up to date? Have you tried refreshing the add-ons repository?
Sam
Yes it is. Running 21.1 .
The problem I have resulting in a bunch of error messages in the log file seems to be between the embedded python version in Kodi and the tmdbhelper add-on that is used by the skin I’m using.
This lead me to look for certain add-on script modules like script.module.simplecache, but couldnt find them in the repository.
In the mean time I found a bug report pointing to the embedded python version being the issue
I am planning to install an older osmc version on vero v to see if that changes things.
Ok. Let me know how it goes. Keeping an eye on the situation
Ive done a clean installation and have been unable to re-produce the error. No more flooding of error messages related to the TMDbhelper using simplecache.
Glad to hear this.
Hi there. I seem to be having the same issue. Trying to install Emby for Kodi Next Gen, and it saying a python dependency wasn’t found. I didn’t really see any solution except to either clean install or update. I am on the Nov 25 version. Anyone have any suggestions? Thank you
There were some issues with the mirrors over the last few days
This should now be resolved
