I have updated the test builds to Kodi Beta 5. Key improvements:

Various upstream improvements
OSMC skin is available for testing
USB automounting should now work as expected
Fix for hardware video decoding on Vero 2
New libCEC 4.0.0 library
Fixed Krypton add-on repository so that add-ons from the Kodi repository can now be downloaded and updated properly
All builds will show the correct version ‘Beta 5’, to avoid confusion re. what version you are actually on.

Note: that there are some issues with updating built-in add-ons in this version. This is acknowledged by Team Kodi and expected to be fixed in Beta 6.

The automount bug is gone (for me) Thank you very much!

I can see the IPTV addon space bug but It doesn’t bother me at all.

I don’t think @BobCrachett confirmed it as fixed yet, so this is probably to be expected. I certainly haven’t updated the skin since the issue was reported.

Oh, that’s the reason then. I can confirm that the automount is working as expected. If I have another problems, I’ll report them.

I do not know what’s wrong here or what I am doing wrong. I used the test builds before, and the repo is probably still there. I changed to the betas following your guide in 1st post, and normally I can install all daily updates.

Can’t replicate this. I downgraded the skin and then ran dist-upgrade and I got

Try reboot your router. That looks a lot like caching. Also post full output of of the commands, so I can see if the pdiff is getting hit.

Just updated from @sam_nazarko’s last official beta build to his latest and I don’t recognize any problems - all is working fine, including CEC functions.

I was getting the same file mismatch. I just checked my deb repository sources in /etc/apt/sources.list
I had the apt.osmc.tv krypton main listed 3 times. I removed duplicates also the osmc.tv Jessie deb and Index of /osmc/osmc/download/dev/gmc ./ and then ran sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade -y
Here time it was wanted to update fewer packages and the osmc update went fine.

If you want to use the OSMC Beta Builds, you should remove GMC’s sources.list.

Tracked down the issue so it will be fixed on git today. It can be worked around in the mean time by enabling menu customisation - Settings > Interface > Configure Skin > Enable Menu Customisation.

The log error is related to the weather fanart option, and won’t have any bearing on any IPTV addon. However, I’ve noted it and will fix it soon. The visibility conditions for the Live TV/Radio menu items depends on what version of the Skin Shortcuts script you’re running. Hey there, I moved my .kodi folder to get a clean slate. Realized today, that I can not install addons due to a malconfigured URL in /usr/share/kodi/addons/repository.xbmc.org/addon.xml, had to replace http://download.osmc.tv/kodi/addons/jarvis/krypton.xml.gz with http://download.osmc.tv/kodi/addons/krypton/addons.xml.gz and so on. Removed the Addons26.db and restarted the mediacenter service refreshed the addon database and I finally could install plugins again.

Thanks, seems I’ve made that mistake twice now. I’ll fix it in the next release.

I’ve found one issue so far: in my bedroom there is a RPi2 connected to a TV via HDMI using the TV’s RC to control both, OSMC and the TV with CEC.

I’ve configured OSMC’s CEC to make the TV enter standby as soon as Kodi’s screensaver kicks in. Works.

If I then power on the TV again, I can see that Kodi is still running as intended, but the screensaver will still be active (darkened screen in my case) and the TV’s RC over CEC won’t work anymore with OSMC, so I cannot do anything within Kodi anymore.

My workaround right now is to start Kore/Yatse on a tablet/phone and as soon as I initiate just one whatever action in one of those apps, the screensaver stops and CEC is working again.

So somehow the screensaver seems to stop the CEC service when started and doesn’t deactivate itself when the TV is powered on again - used to work with @gmc’s Krypton builds, stopped working with the first ‘official’ OSMC-Krypton build…

In CEC settings what action do you have assigned to “when TV is switched off”?
Make sure it is ignore and not suspend.

Actually it’s ‘shutdown’ (and has been like this since OSMC’s Isengard implementation) - I want the RPi to shutdown if the TV really is turned off manually as I have a DECT controlled poweroutlet in use that turns off the power savely if the amount of power supplied is not higher then 3 Watts after a certain amount of time.

That still works, btw.

Thanks for krypton test builds I’ll give it a try. Is there any improvements to the Bluetooth streaming in the krypton builds? Thought I seen few mentions of fixes to Bluetooth streaming on GMC builds.
