Hi Guys,

Constant bootloops after todays upgrade, cant even ssh into my system, it wont load that far.
Basically ended up doing a clean install, and as soon as i upgrade, i get the bootloop again.

Tried clean installing an older version 133, and still get stuck in a bootloop which is strange as that version was working fine.
I’m thinking it may be something to do with the other files that upgraded today cec something, sorry didnt make a note.

Anyway Im stuck as cant go back to v16, library is to committed to v17 now…
Is there anyway i can install v17 without the other files? maybe version 133?

Hopefully a fix can be sorted soon.

Kind Regards

Bucky…

system rbp2
sd card install 16gig sandisk

Morning Guys,

I tried again this morning with a new sd card 8gig sandisk, installed version 16 thru installer with no problems, all working fine.
Updated my sources.list file, and ran apt-get update; apt-get dist-upgrade, after upgrade i rebooted.
Starts to load, splash screen appears for about 2sec, and then sad face and reboot, and this just loops continuously.

I do have ssh access.

Have you any ideas what causing this.

Regard Bucky…

I have exactly the same issue

It would be helpful to upload logs.

I can’t get access to get them

You can not login via SSH? Then I doubt that the problem is related to the Krypton installation

Looks like a PATH issue…

Her I can, just can’t find them.

grab-logs -A and post the URL that is displayed

Adding…

export KODI_HOME=/usr/share/kodi/

To /usr/bin/mediacenter made no change :frowning:

Bootloops here on the new version too. Am trying to diagnose ATM.

Dropping back to 134 worked perfectly for me

Hi Andrew

Try checking with strace.

Might just be broken upstream, in which case some new builds will resolve the problem.

Sam

sudo apt-get install rbp2-mediacenter-osmc=16.8-134

Does work for me

I had a look through the threat and could see anything mentioned about profiles either. If I try and log off or log in with enable login page Kodi completely hangs. I have included logs. It seems osmc.settings causes the issue

Because the profiles issue is not specific to Krypton test builds. There are at least a couple threads on the problem already.

Okay. Thank you. Are you aware of any of them having a solution to the issue or is it just not something that works on osmc?

This also works for me after Sad Face loop.

Cheers
