[TESTING] Kodi 17 (Krypton) builds for Raspberry Pi (continued)

I have now reverted back to the OSMC release using the advice here after checking that the Krypton testing version did not solve the audio problem I have with sports in the ViaPlay add-on.
I just have to wait until an official Krypton release comes along.
Thanks for the guidance!

Is GMC gonna push v18 when v17 is officially released?

Yip - thatā€™s the plan.

Hi @gmc

Does your test builds include same changes that Milhouse does for libreelec?

As I want to test the GPU mem leak fix thats on milhouse latest build.

Thanks

Includes some of them - not all. The GPU fix is included in the latest newclock5 so will be included in the next build (tomorrow)

Hi the first Beta is certainly going to be released soon. (this week end maybe?)

Will there be a different way to test the betas and rc with less releases? I am on a metered connection while i would like to test all this i might join only when it is less risky.

just wait im sure once its stable enough your gonna enjoy Krypton

@Toast
I would like to make sure that i will have a good experience with Kodi Krypton. Last time Sam released some beta builds which allowed me to report some bugs directly to the Kodi developper which were resolved before the final release.

imho if your on a metered connection stay where you are less messy  not all builds are stable

I will do beta builds for v17 soon.

Just playing with this buildā€¦ looks awesome, except the ā€˜Get Moreā€™ option on the skin selection dialogue doesnā€™t work. I was (perhaps optimistically) looking for the newest OSMC skin to test it out, but was automatically put onto Estuary.

I tried a few other places and it looks like the ā€˜Get Moreā€™ button doesnā€™t work in many places (no error, just closes the dialogue, as though it were a ā€˜cancelā€™ button).

XBMC:
Deadzone settings (PR:10309, 7 commits, 20 files changed)

peripheral.joystick:

I also had this issue. Error is occuring as the repository has not been updated.
Go to Add-ons / Download / install from repository.

This refreshes the repository - you can get go back to get more on the skin selection and it will populate the screen.

Bear in mind there are not many skins 100% compatible with v17 yet.
