Sorry but for me, still no PVR addons on this build.
Let me do some more digging into this.
Ive managed to replicate the issue - just need to find out where it all went wrong.
Waitting for the new build, is there a way to roll back to a previous build?
I did reinstall OSMC clean but now how can I update it to Kodi Krypton version with working PVR?
Just pick the Deb you want with = in apt-get install
its all covered in the initial post on this thread
sudo apt-get install rbp1-mediacenter-osmc=16.8-156
or
sudo apt-get install rbp2-mediacenter-osmc=16.8-156
will take you back to the last working version.
Should be fixed in:
Thanks Sam. Busy running new builds now.
I have a question regarding OSMC building process.
I am a complete noob to Linux, nevertheless I did managed to get Tvheadend server to be compiled on my PI3.
Is OSMC building process the same thing as building Tvheadend or is it more complex?
Thanks
The build process for the current OSMC version is pretty straightforward. You clone the osmc repo and build packcage/mediacenter-osmc
For the nightlies (Krypton) its a lot more complicated as there are lots of lib changes, rebases etc.
Thanks for the info.
I was thinking compiling nightlies, but sadly I guess I miss some knowledge
Out of curiosity : nightlies or current, can they be compiled on a different hardware than Raspberry PI? I mean on Intel platform.
Iām experiencing frequent restarts, I think due to a memory leak.
Full logs at http://paste.osmc.io/ofuwemened
Any help is highly appreciated.
I havenāt done any work on compiling nighlies on Intel. This can be done but you will need a decent CPU to make it worthwhile. Not sure what other tweaks you will need to do.
I compile the Pi1 and 2 builds on Pi2 - takes about 6 hours per build.
Been thinking about a clustered Pi
Since when have you noticed the restarts? How often are they?
Can you enable debug logging and post logs.
I was more thinking about compiling on Intel but FOR Raspberry
I have an old but still powerfull I7 2600K : 8 cores @ 4600MHz + 32GB of ram
Still working on this - its broken for PI1/2/3
