This morning APT picked up the 17.8-363. Installed w/o the errors mentioned in the previous post.
Fixed the rar issue
CEC is flawless on my system. But doing a reboot remotely starts the TV. So note to self donā€™t reboot hours before going to the lounge!

Dear All,

Iā€™m getting a lot of high CPU processes with migration/0 and migration/1ā€¦ usually it is 15%+ on the CPU and makes live streams (e.g. PVR) lagging.

Is there any workaround for this?

Yeah, wait for a new build that solves the issue or revert to a previous. Test builds are expected to be unstable.

thanks ActionA, Iā€™m curious about whether there is any specific issue here that will be fixed. Dropping the ā€œwait for a new build or rever to old as beta is expected to be unstableā€ is not a very constructive comment, especially in a thread where we are also supposed to provide feedback (and willing to test fixes, etc.)ā€¦

Your desire to be provided with a ā€œworkaroundā€ for what is almost certainly a growing pain while code matures is not useful to anyone. You could at least provide logs demonstrating the issue? That would be useful feedback. At this point, you are the only report of such an issue. Until others report the same issue, the problem is more likely to be a problem with your environment, not the code. But without logs, who knows.

oh god, nevermindā€¦

Why do you have NetworkManager installed on your system? This isnā€™t supported by OSMC and will break things.

I think youā€™ve made changes to your system that could be causing this issue.

Would need to see logs to know whatā€™s going on.

Sam

Just updated Vero4k from v17 to Leia: My Music and Videos items in main menu are missing now?

Ok, in skin configuration ā€œResetting All Menu Itemsā€ solved it for me, now.

The Appstore inside the My OSMC doesnā€™t work, it just seems freezed. The back button works but no way to select anything.

See first post. This is a known issue.

hi Sam,

Thank you, I uninstalled it, seems it solved the problem. I didnā€™t install anything extra just an openvpn client, maybe that installed that (even when i removed it it removed that package).

Just in case if somebody will have similar issue, maybe good to know.

Thanks!

Thatā€™s to be expected as the localizes for music and video have changed from v17 to v18. The skinshortcuts script will transfer the old localizes when you upgrade to v18. Restoring those entries or changing the name of your already configured entries will solve this :+1:t2:

Ok. So any way to install osmc/Vero/smb services from command line with this builds ?

And is nfs server enabled by default in osmc to share USB devices ? Do I need to install anything or just config already installed nfs server ?

sudo apt-get install smb-app-osmc

No

Thanks for the quick answer.

Hence, to avoid major issues I guess I should first look for ā€œosmcā€ versions of apps instead more generic debian/arm ones.
