[TESTING] Kodi v19 builds for Vero 4K / 4K +

The Amazon VOD add-on still won’t install - is that a problem with the add-on or at the OSMC end?

I can confirm that now dependencies work as aspected !
Thanks!

Ok i tried the latest update , and i still had to do some manual update on dependencies for my skin (arctic horizon) to work, but everything seems to be working again like before. I had to reload the skin twice, because first there where some weird overlays in the skin, but after the reload everything is back up.
So the latest update from this morning seems to clear all the problems!
good work sam and the rest of the osmc team.
Thanks

The depencies seem to work but the MyOSMC service does not.

How can you tell if your system got the latest update. I tried to update today and nothing happen.

  1. Just updated and I still have an issue with the inputstream ffmpegdirect dependency of the shipped PVR IPTV Simple Client. I go to info on “PVR IPTV Simple Client” and select ‘depedencies’ it shows 'not available" underneath ‘inputstream.ffmpegdirect’.

  2. If I switch skins, the new skin is shown for a couple of seconds then reverts to the previous skin.
I not only have this issue switching to skin.arctic.horizon, but also switching from skin.estuary to skin.osmc or from skin.osmc to skin.estuary… The only way I can switch between Estuary and OSMC is via guisettings.xml. I have logged an issue for Arctic Horizon here, but not sure if this is skin or skinshortcuts or osmc related. Is this a known issue?

This update appears to have resolved my issue with dependencies not installing when the main add-on is in a third-party repo (at least in a single test). Here’s what I did to test.

I uninstalled a third party add-on (KNEWC, a client for NextPVR), uninstalled the dependency (date-util), and then also cleared the .kodi/addons/packages/ directory to make sure Kodi didn’t use a cached package. Then I installed KNEWC again, and the install worked fine.

Hello

I have install fresh 19 on RPi4

When i read à movie, after 30mins , i have many lags i need stop and I need to pick up where I left off.

I don’t understand.

Does anyone have this same problem?

Would be helpful to keep the known issues (and workarounds) updated in the first post. :v:

Yes. We’re having a bit of a conversation about that in the team.

I also have this problem, i cant install the addon ‘IPTV Manager’ because its missing the ffmpegdirect addon. I also tried building it from source but this fails. Can nyone help us with this issue?

Anyone on here having issues configuring PlexKodiConnect (for Kodi Matrix) after a fresh installation?
I’ve erased and re-installed a fresh test build image and appears to be dumping

Error Contents module ‘shutil’ has no attribute ‘copy_tree’

messages in the Kodi log when trying to set up connection to the Plex server.
I’ve tried both the stable and beta iterations, resetting the device between each iterations.
Not sure if it’s a PKC, Kodi, or OSMC issue?

With recent updates applied I am now 99% ok with the Vero into my Marantz AVR. Only issue now is the occasional loss of audio on chapter skips with DTS-HRA. It’s random within title, e.g. on the same file, audio might be lost on first chapter skip, or it might manage several ok before the audio is lost.

The shutil.copy_tree command was introduced in the latest version of PKC, so this seems to be a PKC thing. Post a report on their GitHub page and I’m sure the developer will take a look. See How to Report A Bug · croneter/PlexKodiConnect Wiki · GitHub

Hi there,
I’m on Kodi 19.0 and try to activate tethering to create an Access Point for wireless Lan.
I can see the SSID but no way to get an IP address (no internet connection).
My Connection is via LAN (static, IP 192.168.178.78, router .178.1). I tried a lot like
FallbackNameservers = 192.168.178.1 or dnsproxy=yes but it still sucks.

Has been issue on stable versions of Vero as well, nothing to do about it than configure it through SSH, though I never tried to do it because it doesn’t seem worthwhile. Will be nice if it gets fixed, but it’s not a feature I’ll cry for personally

Installed Beta yesterday and it seems to be functioning smoothly. I’ve installed Aura skin from Project Aura without any issues. The overall performance seems to have improved. With Leia the system would noticebally slow down over a couple of days and had to reboot.

The update went smoothly and haven’t come accross major issues yet. Thanks for all the work to Sam and the team, i’ve been using OSMC for years now and the Vero4K+ is a great low power device capable of playing all video formats. I love it.

Thanx (I can understand that). Actually I’m not an unix expert but able to run a couple of commands via ssh.
Do you have a hint, which manual I have to follow to activate tethering (I’m lost in the trillions of forum posts about this topic)?
And would this setting survive an update?
Thanks in advance
Thomas

Hi
I tried to use the picture addon mpo (3d pictures). Actually vero4k + crashs by opening any files (I tried different files from different sources).
The mpo addon was recently updates (version 2.x) I tried the older addon under Kodi 18.9 as well, with no success either.
I have hundrets of 3d pictures and can’t view them anymore because this feature is killed everywhere so my last hope is using it via vero.
By the way: frame packed iso works now which I really appreciate
