[TESTING] Kodi v19 builds for Vero 4K / 4K +

Can you post a log of this crash? I’m not that familiar with the ads-on however.

Sam

This should be included in the next build.

Thanks

Sam

I’m a long-standing user of the Estuary skin. With the current test release, I cannot switch to the OSMC skin. I thought I’d check it out, but when the screen comes up asking if I want to accept the skin change, the remote is not recognised so I cannot select Yes, and within a couple of seconds it has reverted to Estuary.

Hi, what do you change in guisettings.xml to boot up into Arctic Horizon. I tried <setting id="lookandfeel.skin" default="true">skin.arctichorizon</setting> but that just defaults to the classic OSMC skin.

thanx a lot. Actually I had to restart the mediacenter via ssh, no way to get kodi back after selecting a mpo file.
Best (nice guys in this forum I have to say)
Thomas

Try it with:

<setting id="lookandfeel.skin">skin.arctic.horizon</setting>

Thanks, but it doesn’t seem to work.

Hello,

Since upgrading, H265 files do not play normally and are choppy at best with display artifacts.
Sound is OK though.
I have some errors in the kernel which are repeated as long as the playback is going:
[ 1667.537341] [0]cur lcu idx = 0, (total 6120), set error_mark
[ 1667.578590] [0]cur lcu idx = 0, (total 6120), set error_mark
[ 1667.579150] [0]cur lcu idx = 0, (total 6120), set error_mark
[ 1667.580457] [0]cur lcu idx = 0, (total 6120), set error_mark
[ 1667.581651] [0]cur lcu idx = 0, (total 6120), set error_mark

Kodi does not show any error except for the ExtractThumb thread which seems to scan all of my library and drains about 60% of the CPU-KODI and about 50Mbits/s

EDIT : a library cleanup seems to have made disappear my problem. It was looking for files that weren’t there anymore

Got the new build yesterday and everything WAS working but last night I was just going back a level after watching a TV show and the screen went blank. Restarted via ssh and it’s still blank… I can hear key presses but no video at all?

Login via SSH and upload logs as a first step.

Done. (I restarted via ssh and then ran the command once I could connect via ssh again)

Does it work with
echo 4448bitnow | sudo tee /sys/class/amhdmitx/amhdmitx0/attr ?

I’ve just installed the update and it works fine with 4k video but when playing 3D-MVCs I get a stutter of both image and sound about 1-2 s apart.

I also get really strange colors when trying to play this file:

Now I’ve realized this must be because the file has Dolby Vision that the Vero don’t handle. So disregard this bug!

Skin maintainer has closed the issue, pointing at OSMC as the likely cause.

I think I’ve found the issue.

In current build not available Emulators addons, any plans for add them into next release?

I’m only building the game add-ons that are in the default Kodi binary repository.
Kodi seem to have reduced the number of add-ons available (possibly for legal reasons) by default.

How in that case get all available addons, usually provided by Team Kodi into Official Repo? Because into standalone Kodi install for Mac\Windows Games addons available with Kodi 19.

We make available the same list of add-ons – they are provided by default (you don’t need to fetch them from a repository).

There are a couple of exceptions, i.e. some screensavers / visualisations that are not compatible with GLES.
