Been to the OSMC add-on and tried to do manual update…when I scan for manual updates it says I have connectivity issues…it is connected and works well in all other areas. It has certainly updated manually before. Any helpers out there please?
This is the latest stable version.
You either can join the testing (see below) or wait a few days the new stable one is to be released quite soon.
But one reason you might see an error is you have a very old testing entry in your /etc/apt/sources.list. Remove the following entry and the error should be gone. deb http://download.osmc.tv/dev/gmc-18 gmc-18 main
I’m having the same problem with “connectivity” when attempting to upgrade as the OP. However I don’t have any test build line like that in /etc/apt/sources.list. I tried the command line upgrade command given at the end of that file. (sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade && reboot). The result was the following:
N: Repository 'http://ftp.debian.org/debian buster InRelease' changed its 'Version' value from '10.10' to '10.11'
E: Repository 'http://ftp.debian.org/debian buster InRelease' changed its 'Suite' value from 'stable' to 'oldstable'
N: This must be accepted explicitly before updates for this repository can be applied. See apt-secure(8) manpage for details.

are those errors related to why I can’t upgrade in the GUI? Ideas what to do here?
thanks much for that pointer. it worked! just out of curiousity, did that affect many and what was the issue? Not everyone would find their way to that answer so easily, even as item #1 in the FAQ (doh).
I am still on the November 2020 version. When trying to upgrade manually, I also briefly see the “connectivity issue”.
Is the v19 release still only for those on the testing channel?
If not, how can I initiate the upgrade?
cheers
EDIT - just only now saw the FAQ link some posts above. I’ll have a look there now and get back here with an update.
I applied the hotfix mentioned in the FAQ.
After that, I retried a manually triggered update from the MyOSMC menu, and it worked. The update went through like any other in the past, just took a tad bit longer.
I was not able to do any testing - but the screensaver, which is displaying pictures from my NAS, is still working which is a good sign for me.
