Vero losing connection needing reboot to fix

I don’t think mine is NAS related, nothing has changed there for 4 years. It looks to be losing WiFi, hence why log uploads didn’t work.

I’ve been setting up a Ubiquiti Unifi AP specifically for streaming so if nothing is clear in the logs tomorrow I’ll try the Vero on that.

Ah ok.
Mine would lose connection - Never had the issue on other Media players I own. This rectified my issue - sorry it doesn’t help you.

Thought i’d check anyway, is this where you mean? I don’t connect with permissions so would fall under the ‘Everyone’ permission.

Here’s the kernel log

https://paste.osmc.tv/kiqodefoda

The full log is saying that it’s too large, is there another way to get it?

osmc@osmc:~$ sudo journalctl -b -1 --no-pager|paste-log
Unable to upload log. Log file is too large. (117MB)

Well you can pipe it into a file sudo journalctl -b -1 --no-pager >> log_upload.txt

And then share the file via dropbox or similar.
Alternative filter for wlan.
sudo journalctl -b -1 --no-pager | grep -i wlan | paste-log

https://paste.osmc.tv/urujenetog

Not much in there, I’ll do the full log

That’s odd if it is the complete previous log then their should be much more wlan lines (like assigning the IP).

But times are not adding up anyhow.
But one thing I saw is which is a de-authentication request

Can you check what sudo journalctl | grep -i wlan | paste-log generates?

Ah sorry that only is the current log, try

journalctl --since yesterday | grep -i wlan | paste-log

https://paste.osmc.tv/zelixiqequ

Looks like the same time-frame though

Sorry I am not that expert of journalctl, guess the below one will work
journalctl -b -1 | grep -i wlan | paste-log
journalctl -b -2 | grep -i wlan | paste-log

same as posted above, not much in there

I’ve set Vero up on my Unifi AP, I’ll see how that goes. The AP Vero was using is a Sky Q mesh. I know Sky often send firmware updates overnight so that may be causing issues.

i have the same problem, with the latest update the LAN attached vero4k+ looses network connection after some hours (reboot reconnect the box). i will try to upload a log.

@fzinken here are the logs I save to SD card earlier this week

Well not much in there

Maybe if you connect it to your UniFi network you can check the UniFi logs to see why it disconnects.
Only other alternative might be to try a reinstall

Yeah, will do a reinstall, thanks for you help

This seems quite similar to this thread Losing WIFI Signal after a while

Unfortunately, there was no resolution to the thread and it looked like either an AP-specific or environmental issue.
