We updated our Vero V (Dec 1st 2025) and right after the update was done, the remote stopped working.
The TV remote (CEC ?) works.
What I have done so far:
- reboot the OSMC
- Re pair the remote (press and hold home+OK)
- Get my old remote from my Vero 4K (broken plastics but was still working when used last), pair it (press and hold Home+OK)
- Replace the internal dongle with the old dongle from the remote mentioned above
- Pair old remote
- pair “new” Vero V remote
- reboot OSMC
So far, nothing worked.
Small update,
As previously mentioned, I had changed the original remote dongle inside the Vero V with a dongle of a previous OSMC remote from my old Vero 4K. (did not work). I’ve now put the original dongle into an external usb port and the remote started working immediately.
Feels like a problem with the internal USB. Could it have something to do with the last update?
They are not compatible. You’d need to use the old remote with the old dongle.
I suggest to upload a log or contact support@osmc.tv.
Sam
Doubtful, but would not recommend opening the device.
Too late for not opening the device
I’ve send an email to support as you suggested.
I’m having this exact same issue. I applied the latest update after a notification screen came up last week. I’ve tried every battery replacement, remote pairing, reboot, power down scenario noted in this post outside of trying an old 4K dongle/remote.
Please fix this!
