The internal USB port is USB2.0 (no need to have USB3 for a remote controller which has very low IO).
So if your USB2 external port was also problematic, it would make sense to a degree that the USB2 hub has failed. But having two opposite ports like that failing is very odd.
I’m not sure what could have caused this. The hub would be a quick and dirty solution for sure, but I’m interested in working out what’s happened here and see what we can do.
Do you have any USB equipment that has a light on it, like a flash drive? I would be interested if there is power coming from the USB3 port.
