Decided to go for a December update and now have some problew with playing from smb.
from SMB it starts to play but closes the player and goes back to the list after 5 seconds or so. the same file plays OK from USB.

Use the “Search” Function, already discussed.
I now posted to the thread you mentioned. So far, setting KODI to SMBv1 works for now, but I haven’t figured out what technically created the problem and what needs to be done to make it work, since it worked ok before December update.
