Hi, I have a Vero4k which accesses the media server via WLAN. Signal strength is ok for 1080p material but not 4K.
As I own a 4K+ (attached to my “main” tv), I do not use the 4K in question very often. In the past months however I have experiencd frequent lockups (which I cannot reproduce, because they seem to come randomly overnight). Instead of the blue LED the red LED comes up and I have to reboot the box.
As I said, I cannot reproduce the error. Therefore I don’t know how to transfer a log file. Should I just turn on “diagnose mode” and wait for the box to crash the next time? Or are there any internal logs (regardless of diag mode turned on) that I could grab via ssh anyway?
I looks like you restarted twice so even the previous Kodi log was scrubbed and it contains nothing of what was going on. I did notice that you are running the UI in 4K and that may be a contributing factor. I would suggest to change to recommended settings and see if that improves things.
We recommend people with 4K TV’s set their user interface (UI) to 1080p. Kodi’s UI is not optimized for 4K yet and this can put unnecessary demands on your device and can lead to a suboptimal picture quality, as well as potentially cause other issues.
With the above settings your UI will be output in Full HD and your 4K content will be output in 4K. *Information regarding the whitelist can be found here. If you have any doubt, feel free to upload some logs so we can verify that your settings are indeed correct.
