Video Calibration

Hi,

Since upgrading kodi, it doesnt seem to remember the video calibration (where you tell it the overscan/where edges are). It remembers it once set but next day when I come back to it its back to where the edges are off the screen. Power is left on to the box all time

any ideas?

You should be aware that there are calibration settings for every screen resolution. A much better solution is to set your TV to not use overscan so it displays correctly for all resolutions.

This is incorrect. Never do this unless absolutely necessary. You should first ensure that the GUI is set to 1080p. If there is still overscan present, use the TV’s settings to change the wide mode/aspect ratio/overscan settings (different manufacturer have different names) to 1:1 or just or whatever setting provides full screen output. Using Kodi calibration will diminish video quality and should only be a last resort.

yeah i never had to do it on previous kodi version.

Well on off chance , i went into video settings and reset setting to default, and now it seems fine, even after a reboot
