Getting a weird effect playing a movie today - Jackie Chan, Armour of God. The video keeps freezing for a few seconds while the audio keeps playing. It only seems to be affecting this one file at the moment, so it could be a bad rip, but is there anything in the logs?

I’ve been having similar things happen. Video freezes, audio carries on. I’ve just been rebooting when it happens, gives me a few hours of usable watching - does this temporarily fix it for you too? I’m fully aware this isn’t any kind of fix, just hoping the fixes are happening in the background somewhere 
I have the same or similar errors as described by angy.sardine with Kodi 18.9. Changing to Kodi 19.1 the screen turns black while the sound is still running.
