Wrong resolution / window content displayed partially

Got my shiny new Vero 4k a few days ago and are getting things set up.
Now - neither the default skin nor any other are showing the complete window content, something’s missing on all borders of the screen.
Resolution is set to 1920x1080p and reported as being recognized by my Samsung UE40EH5200SXZG TV. When going to Settings → System I find the Display mode fixed to Windowed (like here). But since the only answer doesn’t contian any info I can’t solve things on my own :-/

Here’s my system logs: http://paste.osmc.io/cahokehona

Any hints? Solutions?

Have you tested with different aspect or wide screen settings on the TV itself?

Gotcha!
Didn’t have to dive into that before, so I didn’t think of this…
Thanks a million

You just want a 1.1 pixel mapping for it to look correct. Some TVs also call it ‘Just Scan’

Sam

In the Appearance Menu you can also use scan, i have set this to -4 so i have everything on the screen.

Overscan shouldn’t be necessary if you configure your display properly.

Also, using Kodi overscan results in decreased image quality. Up to the user to decide if they accept that.

Sorry guys, are you saying that adjusting the display by -4 is not a good way to do it and there’s a better way? I have to do this for the Amber skin

Yes, adjusting overscan in Kodi should be avoided if possible.
