Playing Blu-ray - box crashed

Hi - until now I’ve just been using the box for audio, now starting to look at video.

Just want to clarify if any add-ons are needed, & the method of playback.

I had a rip in my library, selected the index.bdmv & clicked, it showed a further selection & I clicked on blu-ray menu, then I got a sad face before box crashed. Am I using the right process, or should I be using the m2ts file(s)?

thanks!

To play bluray menu, you have to install Java Runtime Environment. On myOSMC → AppStore.

Then you can look at these 3 “Bluray Playback” topics if it don’t work. Just read and apply what you think is good.

Hi - unfortunately didn’t work - installed Java, went back in to play B/R menu, then box crashed again…

Here’s a log: paste.osmc.tv/ehorarapuz

Keep in mind that Java (BD-J) menu support is still experimental and not stable.
The actual crash in your log however is called by OOM (out of memory). Do you have additional services installed on the system?

Thanks Sam,

No, there’s nothing else installed .

And there are no other crashes, unless you play this file?

Sam

When I try & navigate the menu, to select tracks, it allows a few clicks up & down, then freezes & gives the “sad face” before crashing.
