Hi - until now I’ve just been using the box for audio, now starting to look at video.
Just want to clarify if any add-ons are needed, & the method of playback.
I had a rip in my library, selected the index.bdmv & clicked, it showed a further selection & I clicked on blu-ray menu, then I got a sad face before box crashed. Am I using the right process, or should I be using the m2ts file(s)?
Keep in mind that Java (BD-J) menu support is still experimental and not stable.
The actual crash in your log however is called by OOM (out of memory). Do you have additional services installed on the system?
When I try & navigate the menu, to select tracks, it allows a few clicks up & down, then freezes & gives the “sad face” before crashing.
edit: I have a copy of the blu-ray in my mega, & could send the link, if it could be tested on another box?
It’s a fan-made, concert video, so track navigation is more of a desired feature here than maybe on a normal movie.
Hi Sam,
I only have a couple of other ripped blus, they’re all fan-made music (concert recordings), & a similar size. I did get a friend to test on a Zidoo, & worked fine, as it does on a Windows 11 Kodi install.
I know it’s large, was just hoping someone could d/load & test on either a 4K or V to see whether it would work for them.
sorry, no, the others I have (with the same structure) are similar size. That’s why it’s important to me for this particular one to be tested on another machine - if it can be “made” to work, either on a 4k+ or V, then I would assume the others I have will be fine.
If I try and download it as a ZIP there is an error after 30-40 minutes. I have tried several times. If you can share it as an ISO I will try and test it but otherwise I cannot advise.
