After upgrading to the latest version, and having redo the full update of the media library, I still have the same problem.
When I go to a directory of my files to see the contents, the system freezes, I have to wait 20s, there the system launches the hourglass, a wheel that turns nonstop, it can last very long, I can recover the system by escaping, and after re-20s of waiting, I can continue, for about 30s, and it starts again, as much to say that the navigation becomes unbearable, and I do not know what to do.
And after 1 hour of inactivity, everything freezes.
I almost regret having made this update, the system was super stable.
In passing I remember that I am on Rpi3
Do I have to start from scratch?

I found an issue where the log files were filling up with tons of entries like this:
18:15:21.419 T:1922658880 ERROR: CCurlFile::Open failed with code 404 for http://download.osmc.tv/kodi/addons/leia/script.artwork.downloader/script.artwork.downloader-18.0.0.zip/1080/Font.xml
This will cause some slowdown. Should be fixed in the next version.
There is also another issue with the log filling up with:
DEBUG: CSettingsManager: requested setting (videoscreen.limitedrange) was not found.
There is also a PR for this which will be in the next nightly.
Remember that these builds are still in alpha stage so can break at any time.

After a update to the version 17.8.219, I get sad face when try to boot the system.

A corruption on the kodi.bin file. Can you try reinstall mediacenter:
sudo apt-get install --reinstall rbp2-mediacenter-osmc
I reinstalled and continued with the same error

Its possible it could be a build issue. I’ve tested it on rbp1 without any issues. Don’t have a spare rbp2.
Try going back to a previous version:
sudo apt-get install rbp2-mediacenter-osmc=17.8-224
You have a few other issues as well:

It means he has filesystem corruption. Needs to reinstall and likely change SD

I kinda lost count with the updates, it probably happened during this last week, but i lost the remote mouse option on the VNC server. I move my mouse on the PC but the mouse pointer doesnt move on the pi remotely. Could any of these last updates break that ? I’ll try recompile the vnc server and report back.
Edit: Nope, even recompiling the vnc server didnt do anything. The mouse pointer is just stuck on the top left corner of the screen. Cant move it.
It works fine on the pi2 though (running v17)
@Sandbird no need to recompile, i’ve compiled three four times, i think you’ll see that mouse buttons triggers an event but mouse isn’t working propperly since libinput changes in Leila
I was about to say that…I enabled verbose debug and i can see mouse clicks…but not movements
@joakim_s, would this : disable grabbing of input devices in libinput handler from the changes have done that ? I dont get it…why disable it ?
I think mouse movement disappered earlier in some libinput changes, haveing evenmore problems with VNC for Vero4k, not keyboard or mouse working since the changes.
aight…i guess we just have to wait…weird though…giving no reason why it was disabled, cause it was working fine about 2 weeks ago. Maybe CPU related bug
