i’m having problems with livetv. terrible stutter…
i’m on 17.8-166, livetv with vdr vnsi.

and this is what my log looks during file playback: 22:48:16.335 T:3472741120 DEBUG: write codec data failed, write_bytes(-1), err - Pastebin.com

can’t see any different in logs with playback from file (nfs). i get the same messages but not the stuttering.
livetv is not “watchable” at the moment :frowning:

Today OSMC installed the update of the Leia alpha automatically. I don’t needed to sudo dist-upgrade. Is this new?

If you checked for updates with myosmc and accepted prompts then it would have upgraded to the latest version.

Should not have automatically upgraded itself without a prompt.

You can use my osmc or apt-get dist-upgrade.

I started OSMC and he did asked me to grant installing the update maybe based on the automatic check. I thought (based on the instructions in the first thread) that this does not work. So can I update through OSMC or should I use sudo dist-upgrade?

Horrible stuttering in Live TV when using a tvheadend backend (using pvr.hts) that doesn’t appear when using Kodi 17 & stable pvr.hts.

TVHeadend backend (Synology NAS) & TVHeadend-Frontend (Kodi Leia) are working flawlessly (incl. timeshift) on my Vero 4K.
No problems on my configuration.

It’s so strange, I had the same behaviour when Kodi 17 was in alpha stage, horrible stuttering using pvr.hts with a TVheadend backend runing on my Arch server. When Kodi 17 reached final status, suddenly PVR started to play flawlessly. Now I have the same situation with Kodi 18 Alpha…
