On my Windows and Mac using the official 18.1 release I have version 3.3.13 of the NextPVR PVR Client, but using these OSMC test builds I have 3.3.12. I just did a manual update to make sure I have the latest updates (17.8-429). It’s not a huge deal - I’m mostly just wondering if the nightlies are out of sync with the PVR binary repos. Thanks.

I tried to dist-upgrade, and during the upgrade (Configuring openssh-server) I ran into a warning message saying “A new version (/tmp/fileIkWqzd) of configuration file /etc/ssh/sshd_config is available, but the version installed currently has been locally modified.”
Should I install the package maintainer’s version or keep the local version?

I did an full “ungrade”, so I’m using right now the December release.

I’m wondering when these nightlies will become “beta”… not only the Kodi 18 but the OSMC kernel too.

Will that beta stage be “officially announced” to test new features or it will be just a … let’s say …“full March update/release to Kodi 18” ?

When Sam is happy that v18.1 on OSMC is ready to be rolled out it will become the stable release. (And repackaged as 18.x) It will them be rolled out to the users.
Nightly versions will still continue and when v19 gets branched the cycle will start over. Alpha, Beta, RC, etc.

A couple of minor things I found updating as per instructions in the first post;

1, I have multiple profiles (2 in total, Kids and Adults). Both profiles were set to use the skin Minimal.
After the update and reboot it switched the adult profile back to default OSMC and minimal isn’t available - reading up they’re stopping support at 17, so I’ve had to go with something else.
The odd part is the other profile is still running Minimal, somehow?

2, after update and reboot, Kodi defaulted to the highest possible resolution and my TV wouldn’t display the source… took me a long time to work through this but managed to get into a menu and drop the resolution one notch.

Not sure If the above issues are Kodi or OSMC related, but thought it’s worth sharing.
