Note: When OSMC stable is released it will be based on 18.1. The Nightly builds are now at 18.2RC1 so in order to avoid confusion its time to bump the nightly releases to 18.8

This requires that you update your sources.list and point to gmc-19. (See first post) If you run the nightly 18.8 builds you will not automatically upgrade to 18.1 stable when it’s released (As the build number will be lower)

sudo apt-get update

And when the official updates arrived you just update the normal way on your Vero

If you add the new repo, you will stay on nightlies after the v18 stable release.

I’ve updated the OP with additional info.

If you leave gmc-18 in your source file you will no longer receive any nightlies. The next update you get will be the stable. (You can also delete gmc-18 from the file)

If you change to gmc-19 you will remain on 18.2 path and not receive the stable 18.1 when its released

@Schninemaus, you can deactivate the Skin Helper Widgets script and it will disappear from the Video add-ons section under Videos as well as from widgets pointing to that directory. I’ve tested this on my setup here (using the v18 nightlies) and it works like a charm. In the stable release they shouldn’t be re-activated after each reboot, but deactivating should stick. We’ll look into that We have to ship the scripts to make sure that the correct minimum versions are in…

Installation process via SSH gets as far as 9% then immediately powers off the device.
