Iā€™m not able to update to newer nightly, when I start it from osmc menu Vero shuts down itselfā€¦ Is that bug still present?

Are you on version 18.8-8?

The bug was fixed in 18.8-8. To fix it you will need to disable mediacenter, reboot, update and then re-enable and start mediacenter.

Maybe I am wrong, but as I have noticed, Kodi v18.1 is finally released. Is there an OSMC Update in Progress? MY OSMC still says Version Dec 2018 is up to date (based on Kodi 17).

As I am let me say NEW to Raspberry or VERO ā€œprogrammingā€ maybe there is a short tutorial how to install any new kodi oder OSMC nightly onto my Vero 4k+ .

Any help or link would be great.

And stable osmc release with kodi 18.1 should be around the corner I know they are working on it full time right now but there are some issues that are delaying the update.

If I am sitting in front of my TV and have the VERO 4k online, where or what is the point to start for telling the VERO 4k the orders ā€¦where can I put my commands in ??

Where can I type these following commands??

Update apt source list to get the latest nightly:

Edit
sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list

Then add
deb http://download.osmc.tv/dev/gmc-19/public gmc-19 main

Save and exit file.

Import gpg certificate:

wget -qO - http://download.osmc.tv/dev/gmc-19/public/pubkey.asc | sudo apt-key add -

Finally run update and dist-upgrade to install latest nightly.

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

After following all instructions
(sources.list edited and saved, gpg-Cert. imported by command lineā€¦says OK after a few seconds)
I get the following output after trying ā€œsudo apt-get dist-upgradeā€:

Reading package listsā€¦ Done
Building dependency treee
Reading state informationā€¦ Done
Calculating upgradeā€¦ Done
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded

Kodi still stays at 17.6 something

And did you remember to run

sudo apt-get update

before the dist-upgrade?

how can i play .iso?
