Temperature also displays fine on other skins, as well as my screensaver.

But, the temperature reads between 150–170°F, which is around 65–75°C. This is a little high compared to other hardware I’m used to (x86 CPUs, hard drives, phones, etc.). The case also doesn’t feel anywhere near that warm, unlike my cell phone, which feels pretty hot when the CPU gets up to those temps.

So, is the number accurate?

ARM procs can get abit hotter without issues, what I heared earlier in the RPi days, 80C degrees is no issue.

Did the Audio Playback issues with Denon make it into this release ?

Yes and no.

The measurement is of a thermal zone rather than the CPU. We have just shoehorned these values in to Kodi.

Our chip is certified up to 120C. We wanted to improve stability in some thermally challenging situations.

There are a number of audio improvements in this update, but low end Denon receivers are still problematic with HRA. We have some ideas on how to resolve this.

Yes, the number should be accurate. 65-75C is actually pretty cool for this chip.

The SoC is actually capable of running up to 120C, however we have set the thermal governor to 105C to be conservative for stability, which would still normally only be hit in a warm environment with all 4 cpu cores maxed out for some time.

Good to know.

Now, I need to figure out how to have the temperature for the chip displayed in Celsius, while the weather is in Fahrenheit. For hardware, I think in Celsius, and Fahrenheit looks weird, with weather being the reverse.

Setting->Interface->Regional under temprature formats

I don’t think you can set weather and CPU temperature in different units - there is only one global temperature unit setting in Kodi.

Hallo, thanks for the info and your efforts!

Please: can you be a bit more specific about the issues

  • Fix an issue where Kodi could crash when streaming audio via Bluetooth
  • Fix an issue which would prevent BT audio streaming from working correctly

I’m trying to get my BT-Speakers running but failed with bluez-alsa as well as with pulseaudio… Is it now possible to use bluez-alsa (my prefered method) or to get PA running?

best regards!

You still need to use PA. See the A2DP testing thread for more information.

Sam

What did you call low end?

Updated my Vero 2 without any issues, thank you for all the work!

It looks like you may have a problematic add-on. Try moving away your Kodi directory with mv ~/.kodi ~/.kodi-backup and see if OSMC starts.

Hi.
With April update the A2DP Bluetooth problem (ASLA BLUETOOTH) was solved?
thanks. Bye

Yes, we have a working solution now, but it is still experimental.
