Update: My theory is that this change is now switching to an invalid resolution for my AVR / Projector combination. I’ll try cutting down the resolution white-list and see if that solves it.
Just in case anyone else suffers this issue. It does seem that the change back in 263 allows Kodi to pick resolutions that your device doesn’t support (at least in my case). By going through the white-list of resolutions and being very prescriptive on what should be allowed, it is now resolved. Can play 4k content again.

Im finding that if I adjust settings (video calibration) it doesnt get saved following reboot, is this a bug or am i missing something?

Working fine here. Check that guisettings.xml file is not read only. Otherwise you can try stopping mediacenter and renaming kodi. (You will lose any settings/addons you have)
sudo systemctl stop mediacenter
mv /home/osmc/.kodi /home/osmc/.kodi.bak
sudo systemctl start mediacenter
Failing that post a debug log.

I used to play a tv show on my Vero 4k. Since an upgrade, it won’t play anymore. The sound is ok but the video is glitching (purple squares). Like the Vero 4k cannot decode the video. What test can I make and what kind of information do you need to help me?

Might be an issue with a specific nightly, in which case the next build may resolve it. Otherwise some longs will definitely help

I tried reverting back to .299 but it didn’t help. Which log do you need for a problem like that? Note sure if the logs sees that it’s not displaying correctly.

This is not a debug enabled log. It also does not contain additional details such as your config settings. The link provided above gives explicit instructions on how to provide useful info/logs.
